MVP4's Top 3 LinkedIn Canadian Startups.

Earlier this month, LinkedIn announced its list of the Top 15 Canadian Startups on the Rise in 2025. At MVP4, we took a closer look at all 15 remarkable companies and selected our Top 3 favourites.

Startups play a vital role in driving Canada’s economic growth, and each of the featured companies truly deserves the recognition LinkedIn has given them. We extend our congratulations to all of them!

While most of the Top 15 operate in software, AI, or online platforms, we chose to spotlight two companies that are transforming our everyday lives in health and transportation—and a third that stood out for its creativity, awareness impact, and solving a man’s issue!

Below is a brief overview of our Top 3 Picks. We encourage you to visit each company’s website to learn more about their innovations and why they captured our attention.

Congratulations to Manmade, Traferox, and Waabi—you’re making Canada proud with your innovation, creativity, and forward thinking!

MANMADE A Canadian men’s essentials brand founded in August 2021 by four friends, has quickly grown through a focus on premium basics—especially boxer briefs—and a strong social media strategy.

Starting with $80,000 in personal savings, early success helped the team secure over $500,000 in bank financing to scale operations. Using a Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) model, Manmade controls its brand and customer experience while driving sales through Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook and television.

By early 2025, the company had an estimated 25 employees and revenue under $5 million—a strong showing for a young Canadian startup.

TRAFEROX TECHNOLOGIES Founded in 2021, Traferox Technologies has commercialized advanced ex-vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) and organ preservation technology developed at Toronto’s University Health Network (UHN).

Co-founded by Dr. Shaf Keshavjee and Dr. Marcelo Cypel, Traferox’s innovations have transformed lung transplantation by enabling the use of “marginal” donor lungs—doubling viable transplants at UHN and reducing patient wait times and costs. Revenue figures are not publicly disclosed.

The company quickly secured major investments from Uber, Khosla Ventures, NVIDIA, and the Volvo Group, gaining global attention at launch.

By late 2024, Waabi reported $39 million in revenue and employed around 200 people, solidifying its position as a top innovator in autonomous vehicle technology.
